The Chicago Intensive Outpatient Trauma Program for adults can be utilized as a means of transitioning from PHP back to outpatient services, it may also operate as an increase in treatment support from outpatient services, or for some, the IOP Trauma Program can be an initial step in treatment. The purpose of the IOP Trauma Program is to provide short-term stabilization for individuals struggling with trauma-related symptoms that are interfering with daily living, even when engaged in outpatient services.
The hours of the Chicago Intensive Outpatient Trauma Program are from 9:30AM to 12:30PM.
Treatment modalities used in the Adult IOP Trauma Program include:
- Psychiatric Assessment and Medication Management
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy
- Cognitive Processing Therapy
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
- Individual Therapy
- Group Therapy
- Family Therapy
- Art Therapy
The length of stay in the Chicago Adult IOP Trauma Program is approximately 3 to 5 weeks. Due to individualized treatment plans and treatment progression the length of IOP may vary.
