The Chicago Adult PHP Trauma Program is for individuals who continue to struggle with the impact of past experienced trauma(s) in a way that is interfering with daily functioning. In the aftermath of trauma, some individuals struggle with continuing to navigate daily living, relationships, family, and career in a way they had been able to before experiencing trauma. At Compass Health Center, we utilize evidence-based therapies in an effort to increase daily functioning and to aid individuals in re-engaging in life in a meaningful way.
The Chicago Adult PHP Trauma Program provides short-term stabilization for adults who are suffering from Trauma-or Stressor-Related Disorders, including and not limited to PTSD, Acute Stress Disorder, Unspecified Trauma-or Stressor-Related Disorder, and Adjustment Disorder. The Chicago Adult PHP Trauma Program is designed for individuals who need a higher level of care than outpatient providers or for patients transitioning from a recent inpatient admission. Individualized treatment plans are collaboratively created by each patient and their treatment team to ensure patients’ goals are adequately addressed by the program. Treatment focuses on stabilizing trauma-related symptoms, increasing knowledge and use of skills, and facilitating progress towards each patient’s identified goals.
