Testimonials

Compass saved my life and has been, by far, the best mental health treatment I have ever received. - Adult Patient Thank you very much to all the professionals at Compass. I have been enormously impressed by the clinicians, front desk and everybody at Compass. My daughter is a different person and although still has a long way to ride, she is feeling hopeful, upbeat and most importantly proud of herself. We have also learned a lot in the process and hope to be better parents going forward. - Parent of Adolescent Before I started Compass I looked on the website and saw a testimonial that said, “It changed my child” – but I didn’t think that could really happen to me- until I went through Compass. But now I feel like me, but even a better me. - 12-Year-Old Child Patient We are writing to thank your amazing staff for all the great help that you gave our son. Our son was in your School Refusal Program for about a month. It was quite an adventure to get him into your program, but things eventually fell into place. From the moment we first walked into Compass, and each subsequent occasion thereafter, every single person that we encountered was kind, professional and caring. Everyone from the front office staff, to the therapists, psychiatrists and school staff, all welcomed our family into your program and made our son feel safe. He was extremely fragile and closed off when he first started. Through the expertise and wisdom of your staff, our son gradually began to open up and trust. Every single time we went to Compass, we left there saying, “They are really good at what they do!” We were just overwhelmed with the gentle persistence and nurturing that the professionals showed our son and us…. We were absolutely blown away by everyone’s kindness and generosity. We’re sure you know how lucky you are to have such an amazing team. Believe me, we were forced (by insurance) to explore other programs, and Compass is a one-of-a-kind place. We are so grateful that our son was able to be a part of it. We know that healing takes time, but after being in your program, we are seeing bits and pieces of “our old Son” and he is starting to show hope and happiness that we have not seen in a very long time. - Parents of Adolescent Patient On behalf of me, my husband and my parents, we want to thank you deeply and sincerely for all your work with our son. You have changed him from the inside out; he is literally a different person from the one who sat with me  when I was at my wit’s end. The last five years have been traumatic as we tried to manage his bipolarity along with his self-destructive behaviors. I can honestly say there were very few bright spots until now.  He is showing a consistent ability to self regulate, reflect and plan. He is seeking out positive activities and avoiding negative ones. He is approachable, helpful and good humored.
