Director of Operations & Facilities – Chicago

Born and raised in Toronto, ON, Brittney brings experience as a journalist, marketing specialist and freelancer to her role at Compass Health Center. Following her undergraduate degrees, Brittney relocated to Cleveland, OH, to pursue a position at the Domestic Violence and Child Advocacy Center’s communications department and emergency shelter. This experience not only confirmed Brittney’s passion for helping others, but also her interest in communications. Brittney earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Nonfiction Writing as well as a post-graduate Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of King’s College. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto, with concentrations in English and Cinema Studies. After five-years in Cleveland and a stint at the Toronto Star newspaper, Brittney moved to Chicago—one of her favorite cities—to begin a new chapter. She loves to write nonfiction stories, take 35mm photography and go on road trips with her dog, Stella.
