Clinical Coordinator of Child Group Therapy
Erika McKnight obtained her Masters in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University in June 2013. During her graduate studies, she developed a passion for working with children, choosing to focus her clinical training and education in Northwestern’s child specialization track. She has provided therapeutic services to this population through several internships in various settings throughout the Chicagoland area. In particular, she has spent time doing individual and group outpatient therapy on the Child and Adolescent team at the Kenneth Young Center and also worked part-time as a behavioral support specialist for children with severe emotional and behavioral problems. She completed her training at Highland Park High School’s student Drop-in Center where she provided counseling, group therapy, and crisis intervention to adolescents.
