Senior Exposure Therapist
Haniyyah Taufique is a mental health counselor in the OCD and Complex Anxiety Disorders Track. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology and her Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University. Prior to joining Compass, Haniyyah gained experience in a variety of settings including private practice where she specialized in treating phobias, depression, anxiety disorders, trauma and hoarding disorders. Additionally, she worked with both adults and children in an inpatient hospital, where she completed assessments and provided individual and group therapy for patients with an array of concerns including severe anxiety, depression, substance abuse, trauma, PTSD, mood and personality disorders.
Haniyyah provides therapy through a strengths based perspective using evidenced-based practices such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She strives to meet the client where they are in the process of change and walk alongside them in the journey to wellness.
