Adolescent Group Therapist
Jack is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who became interested in the field of Social Work when interning at Wediko Children’s Summer Program, where he had the opportunity to work with children and adolescents with severe emotional and behavioral issues. During his graduate studies, he pursued clinical opportunities at The Children’s Law Center and later working with military service men and women at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. Throughout these experiences, Jack had the opportunity to work with individuals of all ages with severe mental health issues with co-occurring substance use issues. Post-graduation, he began working with Catholic Charities of Washington, D.C. as a family therapist and clinical supervisor for an evidence based model. After moving back home to Chicago, he works to carry on his dedication to empower his clients with the use of Cognitive Behavioral Theory through the lens of Motivational Interviewing. Jack’s goal as a therapist is to support his clients in increasing motivation to create the positive change they want to see in their lives.
