After graduating from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Youth Studies, Jalese Johnson decided to continue on with her education at Loyola University Chicago where she obtained her Master of Social Work degree specializing in Mental Health and Interprofessional Practice with At-Risk Youth. When working with youth, Jalese tends to draw from many different theoretical orientations to help change negative thinking patterns and behavior, gain a better understanding of the external factors that either contribute to progress or hinders daily functioning, and utilizes harm reduction techniques if necessary. She strives to show that youth do have the resilience to overcome difficulties. Jalese is excited to continue showing her passion of working with Youth through her work at Compass.
