Adolescent Group Therapist
Jessica was first able to utilize her passion for helping others while interning at the hospital-based violence intervention and prevention program at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Upon receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Social Welfare and Justice, Jessica became employed at the Hospital as a Family Support Specialist. Jessica went on to earn her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago. During this time, she was a clinical intern at Haven Youth and Family Services as well as Northwest Center Against Sexual Assault. Her experience includes individual and group counseling in addition to medical advocacy, crisis intervention, legal advocacy, and adolescent outreach. She volunteers independently to educate adolescents and young adults on sexual assault and the general effects of trauma. Jessica utilizes a client-focused and strength-based approach to empower her clients to recognize their potential and ability for change.
