Ms. McKeon has taught a variety of students in a special education setting ranging from Kindergarten to high school. Prior to working at Compass, Ms. McKeon worked in the therapeutic intervention program room with children with emotional disabilities in Wilmette, Illinois. She is a strong advocate for students and enjoys teaching students strategies that they can independently use in times of need. Ms. McKeon is a kind and compassionate educator dedicated to building a strong rapport with students, families and school teams to provide the student with the best education possible.
Ms. McKeon has earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Iowa. She recently graduated with her master’s degree in Special Education from Northeastern Illinois University.
In her free time, Ms. McKeon enjoys reading a good book and exploring the outdoors. She also enjoys traveling, going to sporting events and is a huge fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs.
