Lead Young Adult Group Therapist
Louann is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with Bachelor of Arts degrees in psychology and English from the University of Notre Dame and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. Louann has prior experience providing vocational rehabilitation counseling for adults with disabilities, facilitating groups for college student survivors of sexual abuse and assault, and offering weekly psychotherapy for university students at Loyola University Chicago’s Wellness Center. At Compass, Louann works with patients both in a group capacity as well as individually for Resource-oriented sessions. Louann specializes in helping clients navigate life transitions, explore relationship challenges, and address anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and identity concerns. She also helps clients set and pursue goals around developing structure and identifying fulfilling activities that align with their values. In her work, Louann strives to be authentic, empathic, and respectful. She is a firm believer in working with clients to develop treatment goals that are meaningful to them, and sees herself as a supportive collaborator in their journey to self-discovery.
