Maggie holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Michigan State University. She developed her clinical skills by interning at Youth Guidance where she performed individual and group therapy with elementary school students. At Youth Guidance, she adapted an evidence-based trauma intervention for a group of students who have experienced trauma. Maggie further increased her clinical knowledge by interning at Saint Elizabeth’s Outpatient Behavioral Health where she conducted individual, group, and family therapy. At Saint Elizabeth’s, Maggie led a group in the Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program. Maggie believes a collaborative, authentic, and empathic relationship is imperative to working with children. Along with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Maggie utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and mindfulness to help children and their families live meaningful, value-driven lives.
