Child Group Therapist
Molly Hendricks earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Chicago, and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan. During her graduate studies, she gained valuable clinical experience working with children and adolescents at the McGaw YMCA Youth Services Department and New Trier High School. Molly continued to support children in a school setting as the social worker for a K-8th grade school in Wilmette. She has experience providing individual and group counseling, case management services, behavioral interventions, attending to crisis situations, and collaborating with parents, teachers and staff to coordinate appropriate level of care. Molly believes in an empathic, authentic and collaborative approach when working with children to facilitate change and growth. Throughout her clinical experiences, Molly has utilized motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral strategies and dialectical behavioral therapy techniques, to assist clients in meeting their individualized goals. Molly is passionate about her work at Compass to support the emotional well-being of children and assist them in living meaningful, value-based and fulfilling lives.
