Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Nancy believes that challenges with mood, behavior, focus or thought should be viewed, not as liabilities, but as opportunities for growth in individuals and families. She has over 30 years of experience in psychiatric nursing, working with children, adolescents, adults and seniors, in inpatient and outpatient settings. After over 10 years in management and administrative roles in healthcare organizations in northern Illinois, she chose to focus her attention on direct clinical care by completing a master’s degree in advanced psychiatric nursing at Rush University. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, she is licensed to provide psychiatric medication management and psychotherapy. Nancy’s areas of interest and expertise include the treatment of unipolar and bipolar depression; ADHD in children and adults; and depression and anxiety in high-functioning youth with autism spectrum disorders. She uses reading, gardening, cooking, and the care of her rescue greyhound to provide added joy to her life.
