Director of Education Child Dysregulated Behavior PHP
Sarah Pritz Shields received her Masters in Education from National Louis University in 2006. She started her career as a general education teacher in Chicago. After receiving her certification in special education, she transitioned into a special education teacher on the North Shore, integrating dysregulated children back into the general education setting. After years in the classroom Sarah started consulting, working with school districts to create and present professional development and partnered with individual families to support students and their performance in school. Most recently, Sarah held the position of Instructional Coach at a therapeutic day school where her focus was on increasing engagement of learners, supporting children and families in a school setting and creating and implementing plans to transition students into their home schools. Sarah values partnering with families and schools and believes in the possibilities of all children.
