Young Adult Group Therapist
Taylor received her Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University. Taylor is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) and is passionate about recovery and breaking the stigma around mental illness. Taylor has experience working with adults in an individual and group capacity within residential substance use programs, young adults within a college counseling center, and Motivational Interviewing with at-risk adolescent populations. Taylor utilizes a strengths-based, client-centered approach that incorporates the fundamental skills of Dialectical Behavior Therapy in a collaborative way. Taylor strives to provide a warm, nonjudgmental counseling space where patients can feel open to self-exploration. Taylor believes everyone deserves to be heard, seen and understood, and recognizes that while the process of change can be challenging and uncertain, it is also empowering and fulfilling.
